I was fed my first taste of love
from mother’s breast . . .
I sucked, maybe, a tad greedily;
I nipped her pitted nipples, hurting her, with gums
that shouldn’t have known wrong . . .

I should have been innocent.

Men with brains like mine
still breathe, thumb in mouth;
Remote control in hand

. . . leaving us bloodied, in pieces, smithereens.
Does God understand these infantile brains?
there is no brain, that my immortal father does not understand,...but there are some, he chooses not to acknowledge...for a well functioning @grey matter@ would never take his life...nor that of others...nicely written, well penned. may God have mercy on their souls...amen

Its a pity that the horrible act of terrorism has com to dwell on our midst. Expecially when the govt lacks the the moral, will and guidaince to check the activities of life wreckers,otherwise known as terrorists or some school of thought prefer to see them as freedom or liberation fighters. In nigeria, aggreived citizens prefer to press home their demands by blackmailing a govt believed to be unresponsive, unless approached by comfronting situations, to accede to their demands. This approach(terrorism) is costly, but we have to agree that it is effective, in that it gets the govt to listen. So many pressure groups have have had to hold our govt to ransome in order to press home demands. Prominent is NLC, ASUU, TUC and Militants,just to mention a few.
ReplyDeleteNow Boko Haram(BH). You will admit that these folks av taken it(terrorism) to another level(bomb blast). Nobody really knows wat they want or how to please them. All we know is that they have got us watching our backs and our govt which we look up to to protect us is confused and even afraid to confront the situation. We know the bokos are killing inorder to get the attention of the govt, but wat are they trying to get the govt to do?
In all of these, we can only turn to God since our govt has failed us. He sees all, and he is the ultimate protector. He will surely make a way.n our midst.
